J.P. Morgan Asset Management Finn Gold Cup in Falmouth, UK has been a week of extremes and the final day was no different. Though a medal race was attempted, it was soon abandoned and an hour later racing was completely abandoned for the day as the wind disappeared. This left Ben Ainslie (GBR) as Finn World Champion for the sixth time.

Rolex Volcano Race first segment is taking place tomorrow, Saturday 19th May, in the town of Gaeta, just north of Naples. Nineteen crews are preparing in earnest. At the 2012 Laser Radial World Championships in cold but sunny weather, with oscillating winds between 15 and 28 knots, the sailors in Boltenhagen finished the last races of their qualifying series before being divided into the gold and silver fleets for the finals. Day 1: Today's racing, which was fowards the fleet racing championship and also for Match-race seeding, was in sunshine and 8-10 knot southerly breezes outside the Lido - almost perfect conditions for the nine teams racing around the three lap courses. Global Ocean Race (GOR) Leg 4 prize giving was held at the Charleston Yacht Club in City Marina with two of the GOR’s Class40s, Cessna Citation and Financial Crisis, moored directly in front of the clubhouse.
